I’ve been thinking about this issue myself lately. Children must be prepared to handle opposition and be firm enough in their own beliefs to remain “in the faith.” The only way you can refute the bombardment of dissension in college is to know without a doubt that your beliefs are true. The easiest way for children to learn this message is to see their parents living in God without hypocrisy every day.

    • @ Brenda: I agree. I bet readers would like some tips on how to actually do that, don’t you? How do we strip the veneer off and be transparent in public, and act more like Christ to our family members at home? How do we “ground” children in the faith without “grinding” them to death?

What do you say, readers? Email me at donna@donnaraeonline.com or leave a comment here, and Brenda and I can tackle the tough questions (to the best of our abilities, of course!).
